How does Sherri work with Educational Settings?

Collaboration

Works with staff to enhance knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of neurodivergent children and young people. Provides training-in-action by working directly with staff and children in the classroom or wider school environment, modelling inclusive strategies and offering real-time guidance to support access to learning and emotional regulation.

Training

Designed around your setting’s needs, Sherri equips staff with practical, inclusive strategies to support neurodivergent learners. From foundational understanding of autism and emotional regulation to whole-school approaches and tailored interventions, her sessions are adaptable, impactful, and rooted in real-world experience

Assessment of Needs

Through a combination of screening tools, school-based observation, and discussions with staff and parents, Sherri will identify potential neurodivergence, such as autism or ADHD. This process helps build a comprehensive picture of the child’s strengths and needs across settings. An assessment can support decision-making around whether to pursue a formal diagnostic pathway and can also be used to contribute to statutory assessment processes. An observational report is provided with practical recommendations for both school and home.

Individual Suport
Provides one-to-one support for the child, offering a confidential and safe space to explore their experiences and build trust. Sherri works closely with both school staff and parents through ongoing liaison, ensuring a consistent, joined-up approach. With the child’s permission, she advocates on their behalf while also helping them develop the skills to express their own needs. Empowering children to self-advocate is central to helping them thrive both emotionally and academically.

Parent Workshops
Sherri offers engaging and informative workshops for parents, covering topics such as neurodiversity, autism, ADHD, and a range of parenting needs tailored to your community. These sessions are designed to strengthen the partnership between home and school, build understanding, and provide practical strategies to support children’s emotional and developmental needs.
