Hello, I'm Sherri

With over 25 years of experience in education and additional needs, I’m an independent advisory teacher specialising in autism, ADHD, and emotional regulation. I work holistically with individuals, families, and educational settings to build understanding, foster inclusion, and promote self-advocacy.

I support not only children and young people but also work directly with autistic and ADHD adults, offering a safe, respectful space to explore strengths, challenges, and strategies for navigating everyday life. Whether I’m working with an individual, a family, or an entire school team, my goal is always the same: to empower neurodivergent people to thrive with confidence.

My Story

My journey began in the classroom, where I spent 15 years as a primary school teacher and SENDCo, supporting a wide range of learners and leading inclusive practice. I then worked as a specialist advisory teacher for the Local Authority for seven years, focusing on autism and working directly with schools to build capacity and confidence in inclusive approaches.

As my experience grew, so did my reach — supporting not just autistic children, but those with ADHD and other co-occurring needs. I began working more closely with families and extended my practice to include autistic and ADHD adults, supporting across the lifespan with empathy and practical tools.

Now working independently, I offer flexible, personalised support to children, families, and educational settings. I hold a BA (Hons), PGCE, the Postgraduate National Award for SEND Coordination, Level 2 Counselling Skills, and am trained to Safeguarding Level 2. I am fully DBS checked.

I was previously a licensed trainer for the National Autistic Society’s EarlyBird Plus and Teen Life parenting programmes and also delivered Autism Education Trust (AET) training for schools. To further enhance my practice, I am currently completing a Diploma in Neurodiversity Coaching and Mentoring.

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that every individual deserves to be understood, supported, and empowered to succeed on their own terms.
